In less than 48 hours Allan will be done his exams. He’s been putting in 12 hour days at the library, stopping only to eat and go to the gym. Since he’s writing his exam tomorrow morning at an obscure location, we took a long walk this afternoon up past Camden Town to find the building and make sure he knows where he’s going. The weather was a bit miserable – drizzly and windy and very gray – but we got to walk the footpath of Regent’s Canal for a lot of it and that’s always a treat. There’s an intriguing and kinda awesome subculture of people living on the water in narrowboats.

People live on the canal in these narrowboats year-round (Allan is holding an umbrella off in the distance).

I’m really proud of Allan, and I know I’m biased but his work ethic is incredible. Supporting him while he’s studying for exams, I feel like I’ve gotten to see a whole new side of him. Still, we’ll both be glad to say good-bye to that side when his exams are done. Until then, we’re going to power through!
